What kind of services does udChalo provide?

udChalo is an online travel agency for Indian Armed Forces.We provide all Defence air fares on one platform . We also have offline ticket booking offices located pan India. All our booking offices are run by Veterans/Veer Naris/ Dependents.

Why will I get such a good deal for no reason?

There’s no better deal than serving your nation. We understand that grant of leave at eleventh hour makes a pre-planned travel less of possibility for a defense person. Moreover, high rates of air-tickets add up to the situation. We ask airlines to provide us their unsold inventory and sell it at a lower rate to defense.

Why do you need my army/air force/ navy number? Can I suspect some foul play?

We need your army/air force/ navy number because we cannot validate the legitimacy of our customers otherwise. We strictly serve people from defense fraternity. Being army kids, we know the value of these numbers and therefore do not save it at our end.

How do I trust your website or its authenticity?

udChalo is serving army since last 2 years from Service Selection Center South. The founders of the company are army kids. udChalo is a product of UpCurve Software Consulting (India) Private Limited, a Company incorporated under the Companies Act 1956 with Corporate Identification no: U72200PN2012PTC144765.

I am entering my defense number correctly yet your website is not accepting it. Why is it so?

There might be few reasons for it; Using wrong suffix at the end of the number, selection of wrong category, giving space in between numbers and alphabet. The correct format to put your number is “IC34534C”or “34534C”.

I do not have a suffix for my defense number. What to do?

Am I eligible to book tickets using udChalo.com?

If you are Serving/retired personnel from Army, Airforce, Navy, Paramilitary OR a dependent with valid ID proof you can book tickets via udChalo.

I am an SSB candidate. Am I eligible to use udChalo to attend my interview or medical?

No, SSB candidate cannot book defence Airfares using udchalo.com.

I am a student of AWES colleges (e.g. AIT, AIMK), can I use udChalo to book tickets?

All valid dependent carrying a valid dependent card can book tickets via udChalo. No specific service is provided to students of AWES colleges.

I am senior citizen, can I book a discounted air ticket under senior citizen discount using udChalo.com?

udChalo.com doesn’t provide senior citizen discounts at the moment.

I am 23 a year-old kid of a serving/retired defence person. Can I use udChalo?

A female dependent may use udChalo till she gets married and a male dependent can avail this facility till he attains 25 years of age.

Which ID card do I need to produce at the airport?

Please carry the identification document which contains the same defence id used during the booking of ticket. Examples: Dependent card, ECHS card, Canteen Smart card, Discharge book, Pension book, ID card issued by Zila Sainik board.

I am from paramilitary forces or cetral armed police forces; can I avail the services?No

Yes, you can avail the services from udChalo.com.

Can LTC be availed on tickets booked via udChalo?

If you are an Officers, udchalo may not be used for availing LTC claims If you an ORs/JCOs: Refer letter no. : No. 31011/5/2014-Estt (A.IV), according to this letter dated 21st Aug 2017, udChalo ticket can also be submitted for LTC claim by JCOs/ORs. We recommend that you contact your PAO(OR) for further details or write to us [email protected]

How can I pay for my ticket booking?

For online booking, we accept payments from debit & credit cards, net banking, UPI, Paytm, Credits. We also have EMI (on credit card only) options available to make payment for your tickets. For tickets booked through our booking office, you can pay by cash, BHIM UPI, Paytm or by using your credit and debit cards.

Why did the fare change at purchase time?

Airline fares are dynamic in nature and the fare may have changed since you first searched for fares. udChalo.com always shows you latest fares from Airlines.

I am finding fares for my flight higher on udChalo.com compared to another website. Why?

udChalo.com always shows real time fares. Many websites show old fares cached using a local database. These websites update the fares when you make the purchase. Please be assured we always show you the latest and correct fares.

Is my credit/debit card information secure?

Yes, your credit card or debit card information is safe to use on udchalo.com. At udChalo, we do not save payment card information on our website. All credit card and debit card transactions on www.udchalo.com are completed via leading & secure payment gateways (PayU, EasyPay) which are PCI and DSS compliant & used by most popular websites across India.

My payment was deducted from my bank account however my ticket was not booked, or my booking has failed. What do I do now?

Please check your udChalo credits, the money should be reflected in your credit in case of booking failure You can use this amount in your credit to do another booking or you can request refund into your bank account which will be processed within 2 to 7 business days.

I don’t have debit/credit card or net banking. What are the options available?

I don’t have online password for my debit/credit card or net-banking. What are the options available?

Can I pay using multiple credit/debit cards at the time of booking?

No. Currently you cannot use multiple credit/debit cards in a single transaction.

How do I arrange a wheelchair for my parents who are physically challenged?

Please call the airline directly and request them for wheelchair assistance after providing your ticket purchase information.

Do I have to carry the credit card that was used for making the payment?

No, you don’t need to carry your credit card.

How much baggage can I carry on the flight?

The “Baggage Allowed” for your journey will be mentioned in your flight ticket. Please note: Before booking always check the baggage limit mentioned in the flight details to avoid any inconvenience later. You may also call Airline customer care number mentioned on your ticket to get this information.

Do I need to carry printout of my e-ticket to the Airport or not?

Barring few exceptions, such as Srinagar and Imphal, hard copy of ticket is not mandatory to be carried to the Airport. You can show your e- ticket on your mobile. Please note, airlines have their ticket counters on airports. You can get the print out of your ticket from there as well.

Where can I see my udChalo bookings?

To view and manage your bookings, please login to your udChalo.com account with your registered email address and password. All your bookings will be available under ‘Trips’ section.

I have not got the e-ticket, how can I check if my booking is confirmed?

Once the booking is made, E-ticket is sent instantly to your email address used at the time of booking. Please check your inbox including junk and spam folders to ensure you have received the e-ticket. Alternatively, you can also visit ‘Trips’ section on web to download the e-ticket.

I’ve booked my tickets but need to add my child’s tickets to my booking. How do I do it?

Unfortunately, a child cannot be added to an existing reservation. You will need to book a separate ticket for your child with the airline directly.

I misspelled my name while booking a ticket. How do I get it changed?

Airlines allows minor correction (1 or 2 characters) in passenger’s name in case of major error, you may need to cancel and rebook a different ticket.

I selected the wrong prefix (Mr/Mrs) to a passenger’s name while booking. How can I get this changed?

Just call us and tell us your trip ID. We’ll find out if your airline supports title change and if it does, we’ll pass on your details to them. If the airline doesn’t allow title change you’ll have to cancel and then re–book the ticket with the correct title.

How can I add a meal to my flight ticket?

You can choose your meal option while booking the flight ticket on our website. If you have already booked the flight, please call the airline directly to get the meals added in your ticket.

How can I buy extra baggage?

Extra baggage can be booked in advance at an additional cost. We request you to contact the airlines booked to get this added.

What is the maximum number of seats I can book?

A maximum of 9 seats can be booked at one time. If you need to book for more than 9 travellers, you need to make a separate booking for additional travellers.

Can I book a multi–city trip?

I entered my payment details and hit submit – and all I got was a blank screen! I got charged but don’t have an e–ticket. What now?

 Please don’t worry. Please check your credit balance, the money should be reflected in your credits in case of booking failure You can use this amount in your credits to do another booking or you can request refund into your bank account which will be processed within 2 to 7 business days.

Is it possible to book tickets for another person through my account?

Yes, just enter the details of the passengers you want to book for when you’re asked to enter traveller–details at the time of booking.

If I pay by net banking, how long will it take for my account to be debited?

After a successful transaction, your account will get debited immediately.

I made a successful payment by net banking, but the system says that the ‘verification has failed’. Now what?

To make a successful booking, your payment transaction must get verified successfully at your bank’s direct debit gateway. The verification can fail because of various reasons. If you made a successful payment but the verification failed, don’t sweat. The amount debited from your account will get credited back within 7 working days.

How can I cancel my flight ticket booking in udChalo?

Cancellation polices varies by Airline & we request you check the cancellation policies of your ticket directly with your Airline. In case your departure time is within next 6 hours, we urge you to cancel your ticket by calling Airlines directly. You can find the Airline customer care number printed on your e-ticket. You may submit your refund request on udChalo.com after cancellation with the Airlines.

My flight was cancelled by Airline. How much refund I will get?

In the case of cancellation by airline, you will be given full refund including the convenience fee charged by udchalo.

What are the cancellation charges in udChalo ?

Cancellation fees is regulated by the airline and all airlines has different cancellation fee and policy. Apart from this udChalo charges Rs.100 per person per sector as udChalo cancellation fee.

My travel plan has changed, how early should I request for cancellation to be applicable for normal refund?

How long does it take to process a refund from udChalo ?

Once the refund is received from Airline, we credit your udChalo credits with amount which was refunded by Airline minus udChalo cancellation fee. You can use this amount in your credits to do another booking or you can request refund into your bank account which will be processed within 2 to 7 business days.

I still haven’t received my refund. Help!

Please remember, it takes up to 7 banking days for amount to reflect in your account.

How will I get my money back after a cancellation?

Once the cancellation is processed, we credit your udChalo credits with amount which was refunded by Airline minus udChalo cancellation fee. You can use this amount in your credits to do another booking or you can request refund into your bank account which will be processed within 2 to 7 business days.

How can I update email or phone number for my udChalo.com account?

Please log in to your udChalo.com account on web and visit the ‘Profile’ section to update your mobile number. To update your email address, please raise a request online and we will get back to you.
